You have probably heard the saying, "Always reach your full potential, and always give your best at everything." Remember life is not a 100m run. It is a long marathon. Sustainability is far more important than being the best at everything.

Do not give your full potential in everything you do

To make it simple I'm giving you a an example. If you drive a car, motorcycle or bike, do you always prefer to travel at full speed all the time ? Definitely not. If you do, you will lose control, and you will not do it because you know you can cross and crash into obstacles. It would also ruin the vehicle that needs to be repaired. If we travel in this way, our lives are in great danger.

It is always best to move at a safe speed. This allows you to slow down when obstacles appear, or speed up when needed. It also prevents the vehicle from Burning out quickly. Being at this balanced speed allows you to accelerate and decelerate  whenever you want. This is a sustainable speed that can run long distances.

The Reality of reaching your full potential

We humans are exactly the same. For an example you are preparing for an exam or start your own business, what happens if you work in the full potential ? Studying for long hours without taking proper rest and sleep, working day and night in the office not following proper diet skipping breakfast and not focusing on physical fitness. If you keep on  cannot always do it consistently. You will be exhausted and you tire yourself out. It can be possible for 1 or 2 days then you are not able to prolong this.

Impact of Reaching full potential

This has a serious impact on your performance at work, school or business. It also affects your health and makes you feel tired, stressed and depressed. Our human body and brain are not designed to work at the full potential for all the time.

If you do your tasks in this hurry, there's a high chance of making mistakes.

Control Your Own Speed

Take the time to complete tasks, stay calm and perform at a safe pace. Focus on your health and fitness. Whenever someone says you have to do 100% of everything you do. Stop following them.

Remember the story of the hare and the tortoise. The hare reached its full potential and was exhausted too quickly, but the tortoise ran steadily and won the race.

Don't always reach your full potential unless you really need it.
