Money is a crucial component of most people's lives. It is essential to the functioning of the modern world. There isn't much of a distinction between money and currency. Currency is a form of payment for goods and services. In a nutshell, it is money in the form of paper or coins. We cannot lead a standard life without having sufficient money. With money, we can purchase anything. Is it possible to acquire knowledge by only paying a fee? Most likely not.

Attention is the only currency that can be used to purchase knowledge and understanding.

Not only does attention help us obtain knowledge, but it also helps us obtain Everything.

For example,

  • If you're in a meeting and someone is expressing their thoughts. Simply paying attention will allow you to learn their thoughts. Paying attention is essential for grasping ideas and learning more about the matter.
  • When you're having a casual conversation with your friends and they're telling you about their pleasant experience. What would happen if you failed to pay attention to them? They might be annoyed and it may even  break your bonds.
  • What will it be when you're driving down the highway? If you no longer pay attention to it. You could crash somewhere or on someone else. You will be injured or even killed.

It applies to everything, including the fact that you are reading this article right now. You're paying attention in order to grasp these ideas.

The actual currency is attention. We get to choose how we spend it, just like we get to choose how we spend our time, energy, and money.

Nothing in this world is free; you must pay attention in order to obtain what you desire.

However, most of us underestimate its significance. Money is overvalued, while attention is undervalued.

Why is attention so undervalued?

The simple reason is that attention is intangible; we cannot quantify it, whereas money is overrated because it is tangible. We don't have any more knowledge about how to spend our attention than we do about how to spend our money. We are very tired of hearing our teachers and parents repeat the phrase "pay attention."

There is nothing wrong with them. But the problem is that "everyone tells you what to do, but most of the time they don't teach you how to do it."

You will succeed in everything if you know where and when to pay your attention.
